GOALS

  1. Exchange information and share experiences of successes and challenges in order to minimize and eliminate isolation and other factors of underdevelopment.
  2. Promote Congolese traditional heritage and cultural values in the Philippines.
  3. Educate and facilitate the integration of Congolese members in the Philippines in order to be contributing members of Filipino society and role models of the Congolese Diaspora.
  4. Safeguard the connections between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Philippines on issues that advance bilateral cooperation and development.
  5. Promote mutual aid between members of the Community through contributions addressed to the Social Fund.

OUR HISTORY

The Community was officially created on January 15, 2012 in the Philippines, precisely at Manila as a non-profit, apolitical and secular organization; and was called ” CONGOLESE COMMUNITY IN THE PHILIPPINES” with its official acronyms “CPP”. The Community was governed by a set of regulations compiled in a document known under the name of VADE MECUM which served as the Constitution of the Community until its revision and amendments adopted by the General Assembly on December 17, 2017. The Constitution was also revised. The modifications were adopted by the GA on 6 September 2020 which constitute this Constitution. The Community acquired its legal status on December 15, 2018 in accordance with the Regulation without prejudice to the provisions of the law in force in the Philippines on associations for non-profit with the status number CN201840564. Community legal status is valid for 50 years from the date of issue. However, the Community should submit its annual financial report at the beginning of each year to the Security Office Exchange Commission (SEC).
